CI 101 registration limited to 40
CI 101 is aimed at teachers who have heard about ACTFL's recommendation that 90% of all instruction be comprehensible input and is aware that languages are acquired and not learned via repetitive comprehensible input. However, they really may not know how to keep comprehensible input flowing in way that is compelling to students over long periods of time.Or, sometimes they have dabbled in teaching with comprehensible input and tend to go too fast or tend to use CI to to cover content and/or teach grammar. This teacher is NOT comfortable yet at getting up in front of experienced TCI teachers and feels self-conscious and a tad insecure. It's a very solid and comprehensive intro to using CI. Due to room size and group size effectiveness, this is capped at 30 attendees. This session runs Thursday only, the entire time before lunch and about an hour after.
COVID Policy as of 5/1/22: Attendees must be fully vaccinated or have a negative COVID test result within 24 hours prior to the conference start Thursday 10/13/22. Masks are supported at personal discretion. Venue policy could override conference guidelines.
Return Policy Due to all conference expenses being fully funded by paid registrations no refunds are given. Please contact us for other possible compensation.
Refund will be issued if 2023 conference must be cancelled by TCI Maine.
